Fine chance

Maybe there is no such thing as luck

People say that you make your own luck, that practice makes you lucky, that you can’t win the jackpot unless you pull the lever, etc etc.

Some are sucked so far down the determinism whirlpool to believe that there is no such thing as luck. These people find that chance is a very difficult concept to grasp.

Only here, perhaps, the Confused One is looking at the other side of the coin.

The side where the regal face of the monarch is hinting that good can happen if the coin falls heads, that there is a random element to life, and that it can be in your favour as often as not.

This is worth remembering.
