Buying wheat

The essence of the human condition

Surprisingly perhaps that here is the essence of the human condition.

We are driven to toil the fields, plant the seeds, tend the shoots and harvest the grain to generate the bushels that would feed us and our kin for as long as it takes the next crop to grow.

Only this is not enough for us, not even close to enough.

Humans think not of food as enough until the next harvest, they think money.

Sell the bushels and all manner of extraordinary possibilities are available for dinner.

It is our strength and the source of great risk.

I know it is a brave admission that is all thanks to the sayings and aphorisms of the Confused One. Bringing those slippery little suckers to you gives my life meaning.

Smile well, Paul
