What you choose to do makes a difference

The other day I was in the confectionary aisle of the supermarket standing in front of a bewildering array of gummy candy.

There were snakes, bears, babies, fruits, and, wait, wine gums on special. Oh my, what heaven.

I scanned the shelves trying to decide which packet of chewy yumminess I should buy.

It was a bewildering choice for every variety is sweet and delicious and the packet sits so easily in the centre console of the car on the drive home.

Then I remembered. Sweets are just sugar. Sugar is bad for me. If I buy a packet I will eat all the snakes or the babies or the wine gums and that will give me way too much sugar and before I know it I will be fat and pre-diabetic.

Soon after I will be obese and lose a limb to diabetes.

After another mournful scan of the shelves, I moved on and the centre console was empty on the way home.
