Long-range vision

Somes you need to see far into the distance

There was a time when to see for miles was a matter of life and death for there were lions, leopards and old bull buffalos who you needed to detect before they could smell you on the wind.

Then there were the tribes who coveted the eland you just ran down or the water hole you lived beside or the women in your camp.

These other people needed to be watched, ideally for miles.

In those times there were no binoculars only vigilance.

Today we can only see for miles if we have a device to help us.

Curiously, the devices can see almost everything.

I know it is a brave admission that is all thanks to the sayings and aphorisms of the Confused One. Bringing those slippery little suckers to you gives my life meaning.

Smile well, Paul
